Making your own tomato puree is easier than you think. Below we share the Food & Home way of how you can make your own tomato puree in the comfort of your own home:

  1. Use overripe tomatoes to make tomato purée, but make sure you rinse them first and trim away and mould.
  2. Roughly chop the tomatoes, transfer them to a food processor, season generously with salt – this will help extract more juice – and blitz to a purée.
  3. Use in your Bolognese sauce or to make tomato sugo.
