Chocolate chunk cookies are every chocoholic’s dream. Deliciously gooey and rich, they’re simply dreamy. Go back to childhood and enjoy these treats with a glass of milk. 

Chocolate chunk cookies

Cooking Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 240g (2 cups) cake flour
  • 180ml (¾ cup) cocoa
  • 5ml (1 tsp) baking powder
  • 2,5ml (½ tsp) salt
  • 200g (1 cup) butter, softened
  • 130g ( cup) sugar
  • 150g ( cup) packed brown sugar
  • 5ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 200g dark chocolate, cut into large chunks

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C and line two baking trays with baking paper.

Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.

Using an electric mixer, beat the butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl until light and creamy. Add the eggs and beat until combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and stir in the chocolate chunks. Drop tablespoons of the mixture onto the prepared baking trays.

Bake for 10 minutes or until cookies are puffed and centres still soft. Remove from oven and cool on wire racks.
