Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton has taken on a fresh look over the last few months, with new restaurants popping up on the periphery. One of these is indubitably delicious The Big Mouth Sushi & Grill. Either sit at the sushi bar, one of the cosy booths or in the open-plan seating area, making sure you take advantage of the view of the iconic Madiba statue at the end of the Square. The speciality sushi is not for the faint-hearted – with delectable embellishments like deep-fried rock shrimp, black bean sauce, spring onion, teriyaki sauce and more, you’ll understand why they give you the option to ‘upsize’ from eight pieces to 10. For those looking for something other than sushi, their flavoursome grills are bound to hit the spot. And, of course, end off a meal with a scoop or two of Pete’s Super Natural Popcorn, Toasted Marshmallow and Honeycomb Ice-Cream. An extensive wine list and cocktail menu makes this a great spot to relax and absorb the hustle and bustle of Sandton.
