It’s a rare diner that isn’t enthralled by the cooking of chef Peter Tempelhoff at Greenhouse Cape Town, his fine-dining home in the elegant Constantia winelands hotel, The Cellars-Hohenort.
Now, a major overhaul by design agency, Hot Cocoa Interiors & Design, has given the light-filled space an airy revamp. It’s the perfect stage for Peter’s modern, trendsetting cuisine that combines classical techniques and local ingredients with a sense of culinary adventure. A perfect example is the ‘four degrees of cheese’, a remarkable dish exploring temperature and texture using the award-winning Huguenot cheese from Dalewood Fromage. Both a seasonal tasting menu and the popular ‘Africa Origins’ set menu are offered, with many of Peter’s dishes influenced by his time in Asia.
