Newly opened, Nonna Mia’s Kitchen in Norwood has been bustling with locals eager to try somewhere new on popular Grant Avenue. Italian through and through, the menu has a huge offering. While you can start with a delicious antipasti board with imported Italian cheeses, pickles and grilled vegetables laced with olive oil from their deli counter, and move on to their rump tagliata, it’s the pizza and pasta that have me going back for more. The pizzas are served in a rustic rectangular shape and the toppings are fresh and generous. The traditional rigatoni polpette, with Nonna’s famous meatballs, makes for a delicious pasta option – I like mine al forno. And their speciality spaghetti granchio (crab with tomato, garlic and chilli) just pours out of the kitchen.
