Richmond Hill has taken all but a few years to quickly establish itself as the food lover’s district of Port Elizabeth. Celebrating flavours from all over the globe, Todos Locos is the most recent addition to The Friendly City’s buzzing streets – bringing authentic Spanish cuisine to our own backyard. Ask after the name and its charismatic restaurateur, Ana Lumbreras de Beer, will tell you in her irresistible Spanish lisp, eyes twinkling, “We’re all crazy”. If you find yourself constantly cursed with food envy, desperately keeping your fingers in check and fighting the urge to pick off your fellow diner’s plate, then this is the answer. With tapas portions perfectly suited for two, this is eating at its most sociable. From seafood paella to succulent prawns served with a piquant chimichurri, chorizo-stuffed jalapeño poppers and moreish artichokes in a delicate tomato sauce. The beauty of it is you don’t have to choose. Simply lean back, top up your glass of wine, and leisurely feast your way through the sumptuous menu. To cap it all off, indulge that sweet tooth with melt-in-your mouth crema catalana (crème brûlée). Todos Locos, 32 – 34 Bain Street, Richmond Hill, Port Elizabeth. 041-582-2914.
