Granola is the blank canvas of breakfast lover’s dream. Add extra dried fruit, dates, various nuts and seeds, even chocolate chips to add pops of flavour. Double or triple this recipe to fill your muesli jar.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 Tbsp. chia seeds
- 1/3 cup roughly chopped almonds
- 1⁄2 tsp. mixed spice
- 1 Tbsp. honey, warmed
- 2 Tbsp. sunflower seeds
- 2 Tbsp. oat bran
METHOD
PREHEAT the oven to 180°C. Grease and line an oven tray with baking paper. COMBINE the oats, chia seeds, almonds and mixed spice on a tray. Drizzle with honey and toss well to coat.
BAKE the granola for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely. TRANSFER the granola to a medium bowl and stir through the sunflower seeds and oat bran.
