Made with sweet caramelised onions and topped with tomato sauce, this is the perfect recipe to make on a gas stove or the braai. TOTAL TIME 15 minutes | SERVES 2   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Food&Home (@foodandhomesa) INGREDIENTS 1 Tbsp olive oil 2 Boerewors (size of a hotdog roll) 30g Butter 1 Onion, sliced in rings 2 hotdog rolls Tomato sauce, as needed METHOD IN a heated pan, add oil and fry the boerewors then set aside. IN the same pan, add onions and butter then caramelize until soft then set aside. SLIT up and toast the hotdog rolls using the excess oil in the pan. ADD the caramelized onions to the rolls, then the boerewors then top with a generous amount of tomato sauce. SERVE immediately.
