    How to make pea puree

    1. Cook the peas: Start by boiling the frozen peas in a pot of salted water for about 3-4 minutes or until they are tender. Drain the peas and set aside.
    2. Sauté the garlic: In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for a minute until it becomes fragrant.
    3. Blend the peas: Combine the cooked peas and sautéed garlic in a blender or food processor. Blend until you achieve a smooth consistency. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a splash of water or chicken/vegetable broth.
    4. Season to taste: Season the pea puree with salt and pepper to your liking. If you want to add a zesty kick, squeeze in some fresh lemon juice.

Transfer the pea puree to a serving bowl and drizzle a bit of olive oil on top for a finishing touch. This versatile side dish pairs well with grilled chicken, and fish, or as a dip for crunchy veggies. Depending on the desired thickness and flavour of the purée, the amount and type of liquid used will vary. Peas can be cooked in different liquids, from milk to chicken stock. Additional ingredients such as mint, shallot, and garlic can also be added to pea purée, just make sure the flavours are complimentary.
