• We all know what to do when life gives you lemons. But Gordon Ramsay has taught us that when life gives you ostrich eggs, you make delicious scrambled eggs!

In Unchartered, a National Geographic series where Gordon Ramsay travels the world to experience different cultures and their foods, Ramsay makes a trip to South Africa. Here, he is faced with the challenge of scrambling a local staple – ostrich eggs. In the episode, he mentions that one such egg is equivalent to two dozen regular eggs. As can be expected, it takes a bit more skill and time to whip up a successful scrabbled ostrich egg.

But in true chef style, he makes the task look like a walk in the park, and the result is a rich and creamy dish with a kick.
