• Whether you’re cooking with your kids or simply looking to feel like a kid again, these Rocky Road Rice Krispie Treat Squares are bound to get you feeling soft and warm inside! Whipped up in a short 15 minutes, these only need some time to set before they can be gobbled up by the masses (or just you, we’re not judging).

    Rocky Road Rice Krispie Treat Squares

    TOTAL TIME 15 min + 1 hour setting  | MAKES 12

    INGREDIENTS

    • 200g milk chocolate chips
    • 140g butter
    • 2 tbsp golden syrup
    • 150g mini marshmallows
    • 120g biscuits; broken into small pieces
    • 50g Rice Krispies
    • 40g raisins

    METHOD

    GREASE and line a 15 cm x 20 cm baking tin with greaseproof paper.

    COMBINE the chocolate chips, butter and golden syrup in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of gently simmering water. Stir occasionally until smoothly melted, then take the bowl off the heat.

    STIR in 100 g of the marshmallows and all of the biscuits, rice krispies and raisins. Scrape the mixture into the prepared tin and level the top, then scatter over the rest of the marshmallows and press down gently.

    LEAVE to set in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

    CUT your rocky road Rice Krispie treats into 12 squares and enjoy!
