• These sticky honeyed nuts are great for serving with a selection of fruit and cheese or as an indulgent topping for plain sponge cakes or puddings.

    Honeyed nuts and fruit

    Ingredients

    • 150g cashew nuts
    • 100g walnuts
    • 100g Brazil nuts
    • 500g honey
    • 100g dried cranberries
    • 2,5ml (½ tsp) ground ginger
    • 1 whole cinnamon stick
    • 2 strips of orange pee

    Instructions

    Place all of the ingredients in a large saucepan and slowly heat through over low heat.

    When the honey is runny, remove from heat and spoon into sterilised jars.

    Store at room temperature out of direct sunlight.
