Pan-frying transforms store-bought gnocchi into rich, buttery bites with a beautifully crisp finish, ideal for an effortless weeknight meal, a simple side, or a comforting dish that feels far more considered than the effort suggests.
Pan-fried gnocchi
Ingredients
- 50ml butter
- 30ml olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 200g ready-made gnocchi
- salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 100g Parmesan, freshly grated
Instructions
Melt the butter and olive oil in a frying pan and add the garlic and gnocchi. Lightly fry until golden, tossing regularly. The texture will become crunchy on the outside and remain soft on the inside.
Remove and drain on paper towel. Season well.
Sprinkle with Parmesan and serve while still hot.
