• Potato bake is seriously creamy, dreamy stuff and one of those dishes where seconds (and thirds) are inevitable. Serve it with a gorgeous green salad to balance its richness. 

    Potato bake

    Ingredients

    • 10 potatoes, peeled
    • salt and freshly ground black
    • pepper, to taste
    • 1L (4 cups) fresh cream
    • 3 bay leaves

    Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C.

    Thinly slice the potatoes and layer them in a dish. Sprinkle each layer with salt and pepper.

    Pour the cream over the potatoes, top with the bay leaves and bake until the potatoes are cooked through, about 1 hour.
