• Seared steak with rosemary & thyme butter sauce

    SERVES 3-4

    INGREDIENTS

    125g Parmalat Butter with Rosemary & Thyme
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    1 small onion, very finely diced
    ¼ lemon, juice and finely grated zest
    1 Tbsp (15ml) grainy mustard
    1ml cayenne pepper
    3ml paprika
    3 Tbsp (45ml) fresh parsley, chopped
    ⅓ cup (80ml) sour cream
    Salt
    Milled black pepper
    3-4 pieces steak cut and cooked according to your liking.

    METHOD

    1. Melt the Parmalat Butter with Rosemary & Thyme in a pan.
    2. Fry the onion and garlic, over a low heat, for 2-3 minutes.
    3. Turn off the heat and whisk in the lemon juice and zest, garlic, mustard, cayenne pepper, paprika and parsley.
    4. Add the sour cream and whisk together until light and creamy, alternating transfer the mixture to a blender and blend for 1 minute.
    5. Season to taste with salt and black pepper.
    6. Pour over cooked steak.

    FOOD TEAM TIP: Serve with recommended accompaniments of Parmesan Smashed roasted baby potatoes and seasonal green vegetables.
