Summer is officially in full swing, and so is Stellenbosch. Organised by the Stellenbosch Wine Routes, the City of Oaks’ famous open-air street soirée is here for everyone to experience winelands living in an informal, cocktail setting, with top wines, street food and live music.
Having started in late October last year, the street soirées are still running until 25 March 2026. While there is still loads of time, tickets to this 2-hour event sell out quickly, and bookings made in advance are advised.
The Stellenbosch Street Soirées have become one of the most highly anticipated fixtures of the winelands calendar,” says Stellenbosch Wine Routes manager Elmarie Rabe. “It’s not only a way to be immersed in the rich wine and food traditions of the Stellenbosch lifestyle but many people use it as a prelude to a night on the town.”
With a well-known history as the epicentre of wine and food excellence in South Africa, Stellenbosch remains a top destination. It’s home to the country’s prized wineries, award-winning chefs and eateries. Its street cafés, wine bars and estate restaurants come alive precisely at the time the eagerly-awaited street soirées take place.
Look forward to sectioned off chosen public roads with Stellenbosch’s trademark giant oaks, where soirée-goers have access to comfy seating pods, stalls offering diverse selections of wine and street food, and live musical performances, for two hours.
