• This festive season, Darling Brew has launched four speciality drinks that will take you through the holidays and see you off in the New Year. With the Darling Brew Festive Box and a new creation for New Year, you are set to enjoy the holidays with the best of craft beers!

    Festive box

Darling Brew’s 2016 festive box consists of three of their best beers of the moment: their seasonal festive beer: the Red Goblin, a game-changing carbon neutral beer: the Blood Serpent and the award-winning Long Claw which walked away with a gold at the 2016 South African Beer Trophy Awards.

Red Goblin, Darling Brew’s annual Christmas Beer, is brewed using smoked malt and spiced with cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and ginger, whilst the “Blood Serpent” is an unfiltered light amber Lager; with a light beige head, the aroma is of floral honey combined with a subtle Spiciness. Lastly the award-winning Long Claw, a speciality beer inspired by the African Lion, is a single hop saison which was produced in collaboration with Eduardo Petry of Sunset Brew in Brazil.

    For the New Year

Skip the bubbles this New Years and celebrate the start of a new year with the seasonal beer Midnight Hawk: a refreshing Peach Ale which uses pureed peaches – a first for Darling Brew.

The creamy beige head sits atop a dark golden coloured beer, aromas of Peach and yeast rise into the nose. On the palate a refreshing acidity rolls over the tongue, notes of wood and vanilla get rinsed away by a refreshing bitterness, as the beer warms up and develops the aroma of fresh ripe Peach becomes more and more central.
