• These Chocolate banoffee pies are absolutely decadent and a real treat that is sure to wow dinner guests.

    Chocolate banoffee pies

    Serves: 6
    Cooking Time: 15 mins + 2 hrs 20 mins to chill

    Ingredients

    • 1 x 250g packet dark chocolate digestive biscuits
    • 180g unsalted butter
    • 100g (½ cup) brown sugar
    • 1 x 395g tin condensed milk
    • 70g dark chocolate, melted
    • 15ml (1 tbsp) golden syrup
    • 250ml (1 cup) fresh cream, whipped
    • 2 small bananas, sliced
    • cocoa powder, to serve

    Instructions

    Grease 6 x 10cm loose-based fluted tart tins. Add the biscuits to a food processor and blitz to form fine crumbs.

    Melt 80g of the butter, mix with the biscuit crumbs and press the mixture into tart tins. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.

    Heat the sugar and remaining butter in a small saucepan over low heat until the butter has melted. Add the condensed milk, chocolate and golden syrup, stirring well.

    Remove from the heat and pour into the tart shells. Chill for 2 hours.

    To serve, top with the sliced bananas and a dollop of freshly whipped cream and dust with cocoa powder.
