• Flatbread

    Ingredients

    • 250g flour
    • 5ml (1 tsp) salt
    • 5ml (1 tsp) sugar
    • 125ml – 250ml (½ – 1 cup) milk
    • 1 egg
    • 45ml (3 tbsp) oil

    Instructions

    Combine the flour and salt.

    Combine the sugar, 125ml (½ cup) of the milk, egg and oil, and mix into the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough is formed. If the mixture is too dry, add a little more milk.

    Turn out onto a floured work surface and knead for 5 minutes. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to rest for 1 hour.

    Divide the dough into 6 – 8 balls and roll them out on a floured work surface.

    Preheat the oven to 220°C.

    Place the rolled out flatbreads on a greased baking tray and bake in the hot oven until golden brown and crisp, 15 minutes.

    Remove and allow to cool.
