There’s nothing like a comforting bowl of soup to warm you up during the colder months, and this Gyoza Soup ticks all the right boxes.
Packed with tender dumplings, crisp veggies, and a fragrant ginger-garlic broth, it’s a quick and easy meal that feels like a hug in a bowl. The toasted sesame seeds and a spoonful of chilli crunch add the perfect finishing touch.

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 20 Gyoza/ potstickers/ dumpling, flavour of choice
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 large spring onion , chopped, plus extra
- 1 cup julienned carrots
- 1 cup cabbage
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 6 cups vegetable stock
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp fish sauce, optional
Instructions
HEAT oil in a pot over medium high heat. Add in the dumplings and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown on all sides. Remove from the pot and set aside.
IN THE SAME pot, heat sesame oil over a medium heat. Add in the vegetables, ginger and garlic and cook for 4-5 minutes until slightly softened.
POUR in vegetable stock, soy sauce and fish sauce. Bring to the boil. Lower the heat and add in dumplings. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
SERVE topped with chilli crunch and toasted sesame seeds.
