Sweet, spicy and irresistibly crunchy, these hot honey macadamia snack bites are the ultimate snack for grazing boards, movie nights or edible gifts. Roasted until golden and coated in a sticky hot honey glaze with a hint of spice, they’re incredibly easy to make and even easier to finish.
Hot honey macadamia snack bites
Ingredients
- 1 cup roasted and salted macadamia nuts
- 3 to 4 tbsp honey
- 1 to 2 tsp chilli flakes
Instructions
COMBINE all the ingredients together in a bowl and mix until the nuts are coated evenly.
POUR honeyed nuts into your air-fryer and roast at 195ºC for 5 minutes.
SHAKE the air-fryer basket, turning the nuts over and roast for another 5 minutes, or until golden.
REMOVE the basket and leave to cool for 5 minutes, regularly shaking the basket to keep the nuts separate.
POUR into a serving bowl and enjoy!
Notes
You can also make this recipe in the oven. Pre-heat your oven to 190ºC while you prepare the nuts. When ready, pour nuts onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper and roast for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and, using a spatula, turn over the nuts. Return to the oven and roast for another 5 minutes, or until golden. Remove and cool on a cooling rack for 5 minutes, regularly stirring or breaking up the nuts to keep them separate.
