    Dumpling soup

    Serves: 4

    Ingredients

    • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
    • 20 Gyoza/ potstickers/ dumpling, flavour of choice
    • 2 tsp sesame oil
    • 1 large spring onion , chopped, plus extra
    • 1 cup julienned carrots
    • 1 cup cabbage
    • 1 tsp grated ginger
    • 1 tsp minced garlic
    • 6 cups vegetable stock
    • 2 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tsp fish sauce, optional
    • To serve
    • Chilli crunch
    • Toasted sesame seeds

    Instructions

    HEAT oil in a pot over medium high heat. Add in the dumplings and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown on all sides. Remove from the pot and set aside.

    IN THE SAME pot, heat sesame oil over a medium heat. Add in the vegetables, ginger and garlic and cook for 4-5 minutes until slightly softened.

    POUR in vegetable stock, soy sauce and fish sauce. Bring to the boil. Lower the heat and add in dumplings. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.

    SERVE topped with chilli crunch and toasted sesame seeds
