• The Maslow will commemorate Heritage Day in true South African style this month. Apart from continuing with our special Social Sundays theme, there will be a double celebration as The Maslow has won the title of Hotel of Year 2017.

The Tourism Hotel Investment Networking Conference, Thinc Africa Awards were designed to honour and celebrate the best hotels, professionals and students in the industry.

They named The Maslow, Sun International’s flagship urban hotel situated in the heart of Africa’s financial hub, as the winning hotel in 2017 at the second annual Thinc Africa conference this week.

General Manager Ashwin Jose said: “We are thrilled to have been acknowledged as the best hotel in 2017. With our lush gardens, our well appointed rooms and guest areas and our dedication to excellent service, we ticked all the boxes for those judging the Thinc Africa Awards.”

In keeping with what have become signature Sundays at the Maslow, this month’s offering will not disappoint. Meat At The Maslow Sunday, Heritage Day September 24, will be celebrated in true South African style with authentic braai, ice cold beers and good music.

Guests will receive a complimentary beer and there will be live entertainment playing the very best in local hits.

The braai menu will include something to suit all tastes. There will be fish, chicken, boerewors, lamb, pap, chalakala: everything one expects at an authentic braai.

Until December this year, the last Sunday of every month will be devoted to events designed to entertain and enchant guests.

For the rest of 2017, guests can expect a Maslow Movie Sunday, a pool party Sunday as well as Sundays filled with festive cheer as the year heads towards Christmas.
