2018 is the “Year Of The Open Hand.” Because the KAMERS/Makers team truly believes that KAMERS/Makers is the difference. They’re all about the handcrafted, with each show being “handmade” by offering something different.

To that end they have unveiled two brand new venues for our Autumn Shows – St Joseph’s Marist College in Rondebosch, Cape Town from 28 February – 4 March and St David’s Marist Inanda in Sandton, Joburg from 25-29 April. Two stunning historic buildings to which they will bring that inimitable KAMERS/Makers twist – 150+ Makers selling everything from hand-carved wooden bow ties and hand-turned wine-barrel furniture to hand-crafted porcelain jewellery and hand-spun scarves. Add fashion, food and music and it’s the coolest stuff you’ve never seen!

They also believe in doing business with an open hand – one cannot give, nor receive, with a closed fist. Their proud record of launching new SA artisan entrepreneurs into the consumer market continues with dozens of never-before-seen Makers being showcased at each venue. Mzansi Makers, their non-profit initiative, got off to a fine start in 2017 with five successful projects up and running, and at least a further half-dozen scheduled and funded for 2018.

Hot news! After countless requests from the dedicated shoppers of Bloemfontein, KAMERS/Makers will also be returning end September. Watch this space.

Their sponsor, ABSA, will again be showcasing the latest innovations in instant payment solutions, making it easier than ever to fill your free, limited edition shopper bag with unique KAMERS/Makers products.

And if the wait is getting just too long, find KAMERS/Makers online all year round at shop.kamersvol.com.
