An evening with Nederburg – Platter’s winery of the year – Wine lovers are invited to explore South Africa’s premier wines at The Table Bay with one of the country’s foremost wine experts and publisher of the Platter’s By Diners Club South African Wine Guide, Jean-Pierre Rossouw, in a series of exclusive pairing evenings to be hosted in 2017. The experiences will be elevated with specialised menus designed by The Table Bay’s Executive Chef, Jocelyn Myers-Adams. The first in the series takes place on 6 April 2017 and features Nederburg Wines which recently received the prestigious Winery of the Year title in the 2017 edition of Platter’s By Diners Club South African Wine Guide. The menu, created in close collaboration with Jean-Pierre Rossouw, has been approved by Nederburg’s cellar-master Andrea Freeborough. Rossouw and Freeborough will be attending the dinner on 6 April. Fry’s Annual Green Meeting – Capetonians clear your diaries now because the Fry’s Annual Green Meeting (AGM) is headed your way on the 22nd April at Jack Black Brewery. From 14:00 to 22:00 you will be inspired by experts in topics surrounding conscious, sustainable living about how to live a healthy, planet-friendly, plant-based lifestyle; enjoy delicious vegan food; listen to great music, and make lasting connections with other passionate people! Vineyards Pizza & Wine Festival – Embrace the last month of summertime bliss and visit the 2017 Stellenbosch Vineyards Pizza & Wine Festival from 25 to 26 March at the picturesque Welmoed Farm. Offering two fun-filled days of superb wines, music, entertainment, kids’ activities, a variety of pizzas and other rustic foods, the festival promises to tantalise your taste buds and find the perfect culinary match for your favourite wine, as you dig into a variety of pizzas – gourmet to traditional favourites, vegetarian to Banting and Flammkuchen (German pizza) to Calzones. Baakens Food Truck Friday – 10 March 2017. The fun starts at 16:00 and runs until 21:00. Now a staple on the Bay’s monthly event calendar, the night market has no entry fee and offers something for the whole family. The event will roundup in excess of 20 food trucks, trailers and tuk-tuks parked along Brickmakers Kloof Road, offering a unique variety of their signature dishes. All food is priced under R45 so visitors can enjoy an evening out without breaking the bank.

A South African Whisky Event With Master Distiller Andy Watts – 15 March 2017 at 19:00 at the Cellar Door with host and Master Distiller, Andy Watts. It will be an evening of an unforgettable South African whisky journey at Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff Johannesburg. For R795, guests can enjoy a deconstructed Bains tasting, the Three Ships Pinotage cask collector’s item, a limited edition 2015 PX Three Ships collector’s item and a whisky in progress.
