V&A Food Market – November to April – 10:00 to 19:00.

Hermanus Country Market – Every Saturday morning at the Hermanus Cricket Club from 08:00 to 12:00.

Napier Village Market – This indoor market takes place every Friday from 11:00 – 17:00 and every Saturday from 09:00 to 13:00.

Neighbourgoods Market – The market takes place at the Old Biscuit Mill every Saturday from 09:00 to 14:00.

Eikendal Weintaufe Harvest Carnival – The Stellenbosch winelands will take on wonderland proportions when Eikendal Vineyards celebrates the end of its harvest with a farm-style Weintaufe Carnival that promises a pleasure-seeking funfair for young and old on Sunday, 5 March 2017. Tickets will be available at the gates on the day and cost R80 per person, which include a free glass and tasting from the barrel plus all the entertainment on the day. Hands on Harvest festival – Experience the harvest in the heart of autumn with the 9th annual Hands on Harvest festival from 10 to 12 March 2017 in the beautiful Robertson Wine Valley. This down-to-earth country celebration offers families a chance to experience the magic of harvest while enjoying country hospitality. Indulge in country cuisine and enjoy delicious local wines from more than 40 wine estates, boutique wineries and tourism establishments from the Ashton, Bonnievale, McGregor and Robertson region. Visit their website for more information.

OmmiBerg “Round the Rock” festival – Paarl Wine Route is celebrating the 2017 harvest with the tenth OmmiBerg “Round the Rock” festival (4 March) where wine lovers can sample the young, unfiltered wines from the 2017 harvest – a special time in this award-winning wine region. Partaking farms will host fun harvest activities for young and old to give visitors a glimpse into the magic of winemaking. There are a variety of other activities to enjoy too, from live entertainment to delicious food offerings. Tickets are R120 pp via webtickets.co.za and can also be purchased on the day at the gates of the respective wineries at R150 for a festival pass, which includes entry, a tasting glass and free participation of indicated events. Stellenbosch

Vineyards Pizza & Wine Festival – Embrace the last month of summertime bliss and visit the 2017 Stellenbosch Vineyards Pizza & Wine Festival from 25 to 26 March at the picturesque Welmoed Farm. Offering two fun-filled days of superb wines, music, entertainment, kids’ activities, a variety of pizzas and other rustic foods, the festival promises to tantalise your taste buds and find the perfect culinary match for your favourite wine, as you dig into a variety of pizzas – gourmet to traditional favourites, vegetarian to Banting and Flammkuchen (German pizza) to Calzones.
