Seared tuna rice paper wraps are a delicious light lunch. The Asian-inspired flavours add quite a taste punch in their combination of zesty, salty and fresh. Believe it or not, these delicious wraps are also low-carb!
Seared tuna rice paper wraps
Ingredients
- 200 – 300g fresh tuna
- sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- drizzle of sesame oil
- 8 – 10 rice paper wraps
- 150g cooked vermicelli rice noodles
- 2 fresh red chillies, sliced
- a large handful of fresh coriander
- soya sauce, to serve
- fresh lime cheeks, to serve
Instructions
Heat a griddle pan over medium-high heat.
Season the tuna and drizzle with sesame oil.
Sear the tuna for 3 – 4 minutes on each side (according to how well done you like it). Remove from the heat and slice.
Dip the wraps into cold water for 30 seconds or until they soften. Fill each wrap with noodles, sliced tuna, chilli and coriander and roll them up.
Serve with dipping bowls of soya sauce and plenty of fresh lime.
