This summer, the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley becomes a stage for an extraordinary, fleeting dining experience. From December 2025 to February 2026, Hasher Family Wines invites guests to Epoché – a rare, seasonal feast where time slows, senses awaken, and the art of dining takes centre stage.

The heart of Epoché is a 15-course menu curated by Michelin-starred chefs Edwin and Tom Vinke of De Kromme Watergang, Netherlands, paired exquisitely with Hasher Family Wines’ signature cool-climate selections. Each dish and pour is a story: a journey across flavours, textures, and seasons, reflecting both the chefs’ artistry and the valley’s unique terroir.
Taking its name from the ancient Greek word meaning “a pause in judgment,” Epoché is a temporary dining space set beside a tranquil farm dam, surrounded by vineyards and mountain slopes. For one brief season, guests are invited to step out of routine and savour the present through food, wine, and place.

Epoché opens for lunch from Wednesday to Sunday at 12 pm, and for dinner from Wednesday to Saturday at 4 pm. With limited seating, each service is designed to be intimate and unrepeatable, a celebration of impermanence that brings guests closer to the land, the season, and each other. Bookings open 5th October 2026.
