    1. Global Citizen Move Afrika Tour

    The Grammy Award-winning and 19-time nominee superstar, Doja Cat, is finally making her way to Mzansi for the 2026 Global Citizen Move Afrika Tour.

    The 2026 Move Afrika Tour debuts in Kigali, making it’s way to the SunBet Arena in Pretoria. Doja Cat will share the stage with other African artists on the tour dedicated to showcasing the best of Africa to the world.

    2. Vintage Dècor & Gifting Show at the Design Quarter

    One of SA’s biggest vintage and antique showcases is returning to Fourways, Sandton this March. The Design Quarter is hosting four themed shows, starting in March, and repeating in June, September and December.

    Look forward to 150 carefully selected market stalls showcasing quality thrift, nostalgia, collectables, unique gifts, craftsmanship, artisan food, gourmet treats, and rare finds, all set out in the piazza and in-mall spaces.

    3. National Gardens Week

    From 9 to 15 March 2026, look forward to free entry into some of South Africa’s breathtaking national gardens. The South African National Biodiversity Institute is opening the gates to its national botanical and zoological gardens at no cost to South African citizens and residents.

    Whether you’re after a family picnic, an informed stroll, or just a day reconnecting with nature, this initiative offers the perfect excuse to pack up some snacks and get some sun rays.

    4. Genesis dance opera

    Gregory Maqoma, internationally revered South African choreographer, brings his latest production, Genesis: The Beginning and End of Time, to Joburg. This dance opera s an exploration into the cyclical nature of history, the complexities of human existence, and the eternal struggle for liberation. Maqoma builds his narrative from South African rythms and melodies steeped in vivacity and virtuosity, sobering truth of our times, and persistent legacy of slavery and colonialism.

    Genesis is a fusion of movement, text, and music, brought together with poet and fabulist Karthika Naïr, movement-analyst Shanell Winlock-Pailman, musicians of the Ukhoikhoi, and dancers of the Vuyani Dance Theatre.

    5. Once Upon a Time: Easter Edition

    Once Upon a Time at The Cirk returns for another unforgettable season, bringing magical, beloved fairy tales to life through a seamless blend of music, dance, and acrobatics.

    This time, the season is blessed with a special visit from the revered Easter Bunny. The story follows the Easter Bunny’s conundrum – he’s hidden his eggs so well that even he can’t remember where they are! With Easter at risk, the beloved characters of Dreamland must work together to find the missing eggs – and they need your help.

    6. AfriVerse

    What to do in Joburg this March

    Step inside Africa’s imagination through powerful immersive storytelling at the Wits Digital Dome. With Kwasukasukela at its centre, experience a striking reimagining of African creation myths that blend ancient cosmology with bold contremporary visuals to celebrate where our stories began.

    Afterwhich the story shifts to a future reshaped by climate collapse in Eden’s Garden. Two pangolins struggling to survive in A Predicament of Pangolins, a frontline mission to protect rhinos through Dehorning a Rhino, and a vibrant ocean voyage in Bazaruto where viewers encounter the rare Dugong.

    7. Easter Market at Gold Reef City
