Come November, we are pulling out all the stops to entertain our readers while tantalising their palates at Johannesburg’s upscale and stylish Melrose Arch.

With a selection of three top Melrose Arch restaurants, the event promises to be a fun-filled evening as we move from one spot to the next for delicious food and drinks. From African offerings at Kitamu to Brazilian cuisine at Rodizio Brazilian Grill & Tapas and on to an Italian affair at Jamie’s Italian, what more could you ask for? Additionally, not only will you enjoy a wonderful variety of dishes, you will also get the chance to soak up and savour Jozi’s buzzing night life. So, don’t wait a moment longer to make a date with us as spaces are limited!

Offering a wholly African menu, dishes at Kitamu include Mozambican chicken, North African bread, ostrich steak, kudu skewers, crocodile pies, fried mopane worms and springbok shank pie. To tempt your taste buds further, the meal will end on a high note with a traditional South African dessert like malva pudding, koeksisters or beetroot cheesecake. Diners can sit back and relax while enjoying the ambience of Melrose Square as they sip on a cup of Ethiopian, Kenyan, Rwandan, Tanzanian, Burundian or Congolese coffee. Kitamu promises a taste of Africa everyone should experience!

With 22 Jamie’s Italian outlets across the world, this lively eatery at Melrose Arch is the first in South Africa. Designed to fit into Joburg’s urban sophistication, the restaurant has rich, traditional finishes and offers classy table settings for guests to gather around. With delicious food and unforgettable tastes illustrative of its founder, renowned British chef and restaurateur Jamie Oliver, Jamie’s Italian brings to life the African renaissance culture that is second to none. Open every day, this is definitely your go-to place for all your special meals with family and friends.

Experience the vibrant heart of Rio at Rodizio Brazilian Grill & Tapas. Now located at Melrose Arch, Rodizio is loved for its delicious meat, mouthwatering tapas, seafood, vegetarian dishes and a choice selection of beverages. Rodizio’s attentive service is world-class and complements an aesthetic atmosphere. With a dance floor and live weekend entertainment, Rodizio is the perfect venue for a great dinner-dance party on a Friday or Saturday evening, and a romantic dining experience, business lunch or friends hang-out during the week.

Since its establishment in 2009, Mezepoli Meze and Wine Bar customers have been treated to the finest Mediterr-Asian meals made from the freshest produce, served in ample and appetising portions, complimented by their carefully selected paired wines. Mezepoli offers no-fuss urban dining at its most chic, in the form of meze, pita and other pret a manger food of the moment. Drawn from the passionate cultures of the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Asia, Mezepoli is about simply loving the moment and taking time out to enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail with meze. It’s about a quick cut-loose in a busy working day, a meal on the go – or simply choosing to kick back and linger a while.

Wine and dine at the trendy in-house restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily to tantalise your taste buds with sumptuous cuisine in an intimate and relaxing dining environment. Try one of their gourmet milkshakes and succulent hamburgers which can be enjoyed in the restaurant, or outside in the terrace area overlooking the pool for a relaxed setting.

In the hidden Hemel-en-Aarde Valley at the Southern tip of Africa lies Bouchard Finlayson, a winery that combines the best of the old ways and classic French winemaking techniques, with the creativity and innovation of the new world. Founded by the pioneer of Pinot Noir, nurtured by a dedicated team that handcrafts wines to perfection, an estate synonymous with world-class premium international wines.
