Robertsons introduces worlds of flavour with a new range of artisanal rubs

Since 1924, Robertsons’ spice experts have been journeying around the world in search of the finest herbs and spices. Now they have brought something new to the kitchen that is sure to add worlds of flavour to South African meat dishes.

Introducing the new Robertsons Rubs – an artisanal range of spice rubs, each accented with a unique ingredient and expertly blended, with no MSG added, no artificial preservatives or fillers.

The new Robertsons Rubs are inspired by the culinary flavours of Morocco, Brazil, Asia, South Africa, Mexico and America, and feature key ingredients such as Juniper Berries, Smoked Paprika, Chipotle Flakes and more. The Robertsons Rubs are ideal for braaing, grilling or oven cooking and can be paired with red meat, chicken or seafood to add a complex and varied flavour experience to any dish.

Robertsons have teamed up with some of South Africa’s most-loved chefs, Ash Heeger, owner of the restaurant Ash, Jason Whitehead and none other than The Hostess herself, Lorna Maseko to launch these wonderful rubs. We joined them at the launch and we enjoyed a lovely showcase of the new Robertson Rubs.

Cajun Creole Rub – perfect for lamb, seafood and poultry:

Blended with smoked paprika, this rub offers an exotic intense woody, husky flavour with a strong smoky background.

Oriental Nori Rub – perfect for seafood and poultry:

An exotic blend of calendula and cornflowers with superfood nori flakes which add a salty sea flavour that elevates your seafood and poultry dishes.

Rustic Karoo Rub – perfect for lamb:

This rub contains lemon rind for a refreshingly deep citrus taste.

Fiery Mexican Rub – perfect for red meat and chicken:
