Beery berry lemonade
- 350g frozen raspberries
- 220g (1 cup) sugar
- 250ml (1 cup) fresh lemon juice
- 1L (3 bottles) pale ale (we used Woodstock Brewery Bings Bru)
- crushed ice, to serve
- 2 chopped rose-geranium leaves, to garnish
Combine the raspberries, sugar and lemon juice in a large jug. Allow the mixture to rest at room temperature, about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally for the sugar to dissolve and the berries to break down partially. Add the pale ale and stir to combine. Taste the lemonade and adjust the sugar and lemon to your taste.
To serve, add the crushed ice and garnish with rose-geranium leaves.
If you cannot find rose-geranium leaves, substitute them with 5ml (1 tsp) rose water.
