Bourbon mint julep

The old-school way of serving mint julep is in silver or pewter cups, held by the rim to keep them cold and frosty

Put the leaves of 5 mint sprigs and 15ml (1 tbsp) sugar syrup into a julep cup or a long glass. Muddle well and add 70ml good quality bourbon. Top with crushed ice and stir until the glass is ice cold.
