• Combine the best of both worlds –sweet pudding with a cheese board. Spiced, roasted figs with Camembert and walnuts prove that fruity and cheesy were meant to be together. 

    Spiced, roasted figs with Camembert and walnuts

    Ingredients

    • 8 – 10 ripe figs
    • 200g walnuts
    • 60ml (¼ cup) honey
    • 1 cinnamon stick
    • 2,5ml (½ tsp) ground cinnamon
    • 2,5ml (½ tsp) ground nutmeg
    • 2,5ml (½ tsp) ground ginger
    • 2,5ml (½ tsp) allspice
    • 2 – 3 Camembert rounds

    Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C. Slice a cross on the tops of the figs, push out slightly and place on a baking tray.

    Add the walnuts to the baking tray, drizzle with honey and add the spices.

    Bake until the figs become slightly sticky, about 8 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside.

    Place the Camembert rounds on a baking tray and bake until they start to soften, about 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve immediately, topped with figs and sticky walnuts.
