    Turbine Hotel & Spa

The Turbine Hotel & Spa started as an ambitious project which transformed an old power station into a unique 5-star boutique hotel. We lovingly restored the old machinery used in the power station and now forms an integral part of our hotel’s intriguing aesthetics. Soak up our fascinating history as you walk past massive turbines on the balcony and marvel at the steel pillars and pipes that now form part of our funky décor.

We offer our guests a choice of 17 standard rooms, 6 luxury rooms, a honeymoon suite as well as 2 self-contained suites adjacent to the hotel. Each of our rooms provide luxurious amenities such as complimentary WiFi, a flat-screen TV, a fully-stocked mini-bar, and a tea and coffee station.

Our 90-seater Island Café restaurant at the Turbine Hotel & Spa overlooks a stunning canal and serves up extraordinary dishes from a diverse a la carte menu. Our Gastro Pub, on the other hand, is the perfect spot to enjoy after-work drinks, catch the latest rugby or football game and indulge in a post-dinner night cap. Alternatively, celebrate the end of another glorious day in Knysna on Geoff’s Deck whilst sipping on something from the extensive beverage menu and filling up on an imaginative variety of pub-style snacks. Both our Island Café and Gastro Pub host regular events, including a monthly food and wine pairing evening as well as Happy Hour every Friday.

Our Spa is undeniably one of the finest on the Garden Route, offering guests a wide variety of relaxing treatments – from massages to facials, a Rhassoul Steam Room and an exclusive Spa Massage Pedi Chair, in which you can simultaneously enjoy a back massage and pedicure.

Another popular feature is our on-site Turbine Waterclub, providing guests with the best activities in Knysna, including pontoon cruises on the Knysna Lagoon, fishing charters, whale watching and kayak hire.
