• Fur babies now get their own menu at Radisson Red V&A Waterfront, Cape Town!

There is ‘room at the inn’ for your fur-babies when you next visit the Radisson RED V&A Waterfront Cape Town. And thanks to a newly launched partnership, there is something for them to nibble on too.

The hotel is partnering with Pet Heaven to extend their already existing Pet Friendly offering to pet families. “You don’t have to feel the stress and guilt about leaving your pets at home. All our pets are VIPs when they stay with us, and we are excited that with this new partnership we will now be able to offer some culinary highlights to our four-legged guests,” says Radisson RED’s curator, Leonie Andereya.

The PET-CATION campaign and the new partnership with Pet Heaven will be launching their new pet-friendly menu from the hotel’s on-site restaurant. Your room is also decked with the comforts of pet beds and bowls from Urbanpaws, and an arrival treat. Keep in mind please that your four-legged visitors need to be sociable, and there is a limit of two pets per room.

There are also 10 top tips you should keep in mind when travelling with your pets:

    1. Be sure to plan ahead. Before you book your stay, make sure that it’s suitable for your dog.
    2. Pack a travel kit for your pet. Make sure to include your pet’s health records, including proof of recent immunisations.
    3. Pack in their toys. Including some new ones for novelty and a few old favourites.
    4. Request a room on the ground floor/ 1st Floor closest to the elevator/ Staircase
    5. Bring a Scent of Home. Their blanky is usually a winner.
    6. Don’t forget a pet first-aid kit.
    7. Identify a few walking routes and places where your fur baby can make their mess.
    8. Give the hotel as much information about your pet as possible so that they can prep the room and personalise the experience
    9. Bring your pets regular food and medications. Use Pet Heaven to pre-order your food and treats and get them delivered to your hotel.
    10. Remember the poop bags.

Andereya adds that there are several pet-friendly markets and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and tons to explore and do with your four-legged family members who can explore it with you!
