• The hosts and judges have been announced for the fourth season of BBC Lifestyle’s The Great South African Bake Off.

    Let’s welcome the judges

Culinary extraordinaire Siba Mtongana and Paul Hartmann – owner of the South African Chefs Academy – are the judges that will be tasked with crowning one of 12 contestants as “South Africa’s Best Amateur Baker.”

They’ll be judging the hopeful contestants on three weekly tasks:

    • A signature bake: the bakers get to show off what they’re known for
    • A technical bake: one basic recipe is given to the bakers to create and present for judging
    • A showstopper bake: the contestants bring forward their skills and talent to create a more challenging bake

We’re looking forward to seeing (and learning from) the judges’ expertise in their judging process. It’s going to be a nail biter!

    Say hello to the hosts

Comedy gold is promised this season with the hosting prowess of Lesego Tlhabi, AKA Coconut Kelz, and Glen Biderman-Pam.

A dynamic duo that we can’t wait to see on the big (TV) screen.
