• Allesverloren, situated on the south-eastern slopes of the Kasteelberg near Riebeek West, is the oldest wine estate in the Swartland. The farm which dates back to 1704, began producing wine exactly one century later.

Current owner Danie Malan is the fifth generation Malan on the Swartland estate and is known for his hands-on approach to farming. Allesverloren is renowned for its range of red wines, in particular, Portuguese varietals and their iconic Fine Old Vintage.

Winter is especially a perfect time to share this wine with friends and family. Enjoy the Fine Old Vintage on its own, or serve it with cheeses and desserts.

Guests visiting the estate are welcomed to views over the Riebeek Valley while enjoying genuine Swartland hospitality. Apart from wine tasting, a unique wedding venue and forest chapel will entice couples to spend their special day on the farm. The Pleasant Pheasant restaurant also serves local, hearty dishes alongside wine from the estate.
