• With the cold weather in our midst, you can do no wrong with a delicious natural remedy for pesky colds in your pocket or pantry. This natural lemon and ginger tea is the perfect solution for when you are feeling a bit under the weather, or if you’re just looking for a soothing, warm drink.

    Lemon& Ginger tea

    Serves: 2 cups


    • 1 Tablespoon of fresh ginger grated
    • 1 juice of a lemon
    • 1 teaspoon honey
    • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
    • dash of cayenne powder



    Place 8 oz of water into a pan. Add grated ginger. Bring to a simmer (not boil). Let steep for 2-3 minutes.


    In a glass (I use mason jars) mix lemon juice, honey, turmeric and cayenne.


    Use a small strainer to pour ginger water into the glass once done steeping.


    Stir well.


    Drink hot or cold.


    Optional – dilute with a bit of water depending on how spicy it is. You can also add more honey for easier drinking.
