• Give your dinner a bit of extra special holiday cheer with this festive wine gravy. Guaranteed to make any dish amazingly flavoured.

    Festive wine gravy

    Serves: 6


    • 200ml red wine
    • 45ml (3 tbsp) cornflour
    • 700ml good quality beef stock
    • 30ml (2 tbsp) redcurrant jelly



    Mix 45ml (3 tbsp) of the red wine with the cornflour until smooth. Add the remainder of the wine.


    Heat the beef stock in a pan over medium heat. Pour in the red wine mixture and redcurrant jelly, stirring until thickened.


    Pour into a gravy boat and serve.
