Honey roasted patats
- 5 sweet potatoes, washed
- 30ml (2 tbsp) olive oil
- 100ml honey
- 5ml (1 tsp) ground cloves
- 5ml (1 tsp) ground all spice
- 5ml (1 tsp) ground cinnamon
- 5ml (1 tsp) dried chilli flakes, optional
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Slice the sweet potatoes into thick rounds and place on a baking tray. Drizzle with the oil, cover with foil and bake until soft, about 20 minutes.
Remove the potatoes from the oven. Drizzle with the honey and add the ground cloves, all spice, cinnamon and chilli flakes.
Bake, uncovered, until the potatoes are sticky and caramelised, about 10 – 15 minutes.
5ml (1 tsp) chopped fresh rosemary adds a great herb flavour to the potatoes.
