• Thai iced coffee


    • 1 litre boiling water
    • 4 green cardamom pods, crushed
    • (or 10ml (2 tsp) ground cardamom)
    • 125ml (½ cup) ground coffee
    • 20ml (4 tsp) sugar
    • ice cubes
    • 125ml (½ cup) condensed milk



    Pour the water over the cardamom and coffee and leave to brew for about 20 minutes, then strain and stir in the sugar.


    Place a few ice cubes in each glass and pour in the coffee up to about half full. Add the condensed milk, without stirring, so that it sinks to the bottom. Serve immediately.
