The Snapper is a refreshing variation of the traditional Bloody Mary. Made with gin instead of vodka, this drink has been popular on the American cocktail scene since the early 1920s. A drink named Bloody Mary was too vulgar for New York’s sophisticated St Regis hotel, and so The Snapper was born!
- 40ml gin (we use Tanqueray London dry gin)
- 2 large dashes Worcestershire Sauce
- a dash of Tabasco
- juice of a few lemons
- 100ml tomato juice
- a pinch of salt and pepper
Shake gin, Worcestershire Sauce and Tabasco in a cocktail shaker.
Squeeze in the juice of a few lemons, tomato juice and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Shake lightly again and add to a tall glass filled with ice.
