    Hazendal Babushka Picnic 

    Hazendal Wine Estate provides a unique winelands experience that’s perfect for the whole family. Grab your friends and the kiddies and enjoy its delicious babushka picnic experience that includes freshly baked bread, a selection of cold meats and a local cheese range. The estate also caters to those looking for vegetarian and vegan options.

    Spier Wine Farm 

    Spier Wine Farm is famous for many things, including its gorgeous surroundings, award-winning wines and ethically sourced meals. Its seasonal picnic menus are no different with dishes such as the farmer Angus beef rump, the Spier garden salad and the country pâté.

    Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

    There’s no better place to picnic than at the Mother City’s famous garden, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Located at the foot of Table Mountain and surrounded by indigenous fynbos, the tea room on the premises offers picnic platters galore.

    Rare roast sirloin, cheesecake, meatballs and chilli poppers are just a few of the delicious finger foods you’ll get to snack on.

    You can pre-order online or simply pop in on the day to choose from the picnic or main menu.

    Mont Rochelle 

    Mont Rochelle is another stunning picnic destination located in Franschhoek. Embrace all that Mother Nature has to offer, but don’t forget your picnic basket! The estate offers a range of baskets, including the Miko and Chardonnay baskets, which are filled with South African cheese and charcuterie, spiced lemongrass fish cakes and smashed buttermilk potato salad.
