SA Luxe 100 Best Awards winners announced

After the prestigious success of the Luxe Restaurant Awards, Luxe launched its Luxe 100 Best Awards, four years ago.

The awards spotlight the diversity of SA’s luxury hospitality sector and celebrate SA’s rank as a globally competitive luxury destination.

With award categories ranging from Best Spa in SA to Best Villa, Game Lodge, Boutique Hotel, Bar, Eco Lodge and more, 10 of the best in SA were chosen to represent each category, based on industry experts and reviews. All nominees selected were then given a ‘Luxe’ score, which determined their ranks and standing for the ‘Best’ award.

Local celebrity, Shashi Naidoo, was MC to the Luxe Best 100 event, and special guests at the awards included culinary gurus Mogau Seshoene and Zanele Van Zyl, as well as celebrated food critic Steve Steinfeld and entrepreneur Nicky Van Der Walt with his wife and model, Lee-Ann Liebenberg.

The panel of judges was headed by Chad Fourie, chief judge of the Luxe Awards and managing director of The Hospitality Counsel, who said:

“The Luxe 100 Best Awards supports, promotes and develops the South African travel and tourism industry by identifying and rewarding excellence and inspiring its practitioners to continually raise the standards of their product and service offering.”
