• The Experience

What an incredible journey through Stellenbosch’s culinary landscape! The team at Visit Stellenbosch has crafted something truly special with their food safari experience. From the moment we were welcomed at their headquarters by their passionate and knowledgeable team, it was clear this would be no ordinary food tour.

The Venues – Each Stop Was Perfection

    The Wineglass

The Wineglass – Our journey began at this wine lover’s paradise. More than just a tasting room, this is where you truly learn to appreciate wine. The educational component was fantastic, and the serene atmosphere set the perfect tone for our adventure. The stories behind each glass were as rich as the wines themselves.

    Genki

Genki – What a hidden gem! This Japanese-inspired restaurant transported us straight to Japan with their precision and artistry. Every dish was a delicate masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with authentic flavours. Don’t let the location fool you – this is serious culinary craftsmanship.

    Casa Cerveza

Casa Cerveza – On the surface, a buzzing sports bar with incredible energy and student vibes. But oh, my goodness, the food! The pork belly here deserves its own review – impossibly crispy skin giving way to the most tender, juicy meat that literally melted in your mouth. Hands down the best pork belly I’ve ever experienced.

    Eike by Bertus Basson

Eike by Bertus Basson – The main event lived up to every expectation. The flat-grilled chicken breast was flawless, but that peri-peri sauce… I genuinely wanted to order it by the litre! Paired with exceptional sides and stellar local wines, this was dining at its finest.

    Post and Pepper

Post and Pepper – Chef Jess van Dyk’s caramel banoffee dessert finale was beyond words. Housed in a beautifully converted old post office, the setting matched the culinary artistry. Some dishes simply can’t be described – they must be experienced. This was one of them.
