This 3-ingredient crème brûlée is an effortless dessert perfect to serve at birthday parties or dinner with friends. Chances are, you won’t even need to make a grocery run!
3-Ingredient Crème Brûlée
MAKES 4 / HANDS-ON TIME 10 min / TOTAL TIME 4 hours
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 4 egg yolks
- ½ cup sugar
PREHEAT oven to 160℃.
HEAT ice cream in a microwave-safe bowl until just melted. Whisk in egg yolks until combined.
POUR liquid into four ramekins, then place the ramekins in a roasting tray. Carefully pour boiling water into the tray, filling it up ¼ of the way.
BAKE crème brûlées for 40-45 minutes, until just set but still slightly wobbly. Remove and set aside to cool for 10 minutes, then place in the fridge for 3 hours to set.
SPRINKLE 2 tbsp of sugar onto each crème brûlée and shake lightly to create an even coating. Caramelise the sugar using a blowtorch and serve.
Tip from the team: No blowtorch? No worries! Make a simple caramel for the top instead by swirling some sugar in a pan until golden. Carefully pour it onto your set creme brûlées, let it set and CRRRACK!
