Mixed berry sauce recipe

The wonderful thing about mixed berry sauce, apart from its deliciously tangy flavours, is that you can use it on anything. Spread it on bread, spoon over porridge, or heap liberally over ice cream. Delicious!

Mixed berry sauce

Serves: Makes about 300ml
Cooking Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 250g frozen mixed berries
  • 120g castor sugar
  • 100ml white wine
  • zest of 1 orange
  • 10ml (2 tsp) ground cardamom
  • 60ml (¼ cup) port
