• A taste of the tropics in the comfort of your own home. This smoothie taste as good as an island holiday feels – not only is it a refreshing way to start your morning, but it combines all of the delicious tropical flavours that reminds us of a beach holiday. You can make this smoothie in advance – simply leave out the crushed ice and refrigerate.

    Tropical tonic smoothie

    Serves: 2

    Ingredients

    • ½ medium pawpaw
    • 125ml (½ cup) coconut milk
    • 5 sprigs fresh mint, leaves only
    • 125ml (½ cup) crushed ice

    Instructions

    Remove the seeds from the pawpaw, peel and cube.

    Place in the blender with the coconut milk and mint leaves.

    Add the crushed ice and pulse twice.

    Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
