South African celebrity chef Siba Mtongana recently added Amal Clooney to the list of stars who have wined and dined at her Cape Town eatery, Siba The Restaurant.
On Thursday morning, Siba took to Instagram to share the news that her restaurant – Siba The Restaurant – had recently hosted Amal Clooney and the Clooney Foundation For Justice. In her post, Siba writes:
“We were so delighted and honoured to host Amal Clooney and the Clooney Foundation For Justice at @siba_the_restaurant”
Amal’s visit to Cape Town came after the launch of the Clooney Foundation For Justice’s new fellowship program for early-career women lawyers across Africa. The fellowship offers an annual salary and an opportunity to work with leading human rights organisations on gender justice.
“In July the foundation launched its Waging Justice for Women fellowship program for early career women lawyers from across Africa. During her visit to Cape Town, Amal Clooney met with the ten inaugural fellows to discuss their work and learnings so far.” wrote Siba.

In photographs shared to Instagram by Siba, we see Amal seated at Siba The Restaurant with inaugural fellows of the foundation’s program seated around her.
In another snap, we see Siba handing Klooney – who is all smiles – a gift.
In the last image, Klooney stands with the local women who are fellows of the Waging Justice for Women program.
