Quick caramel sauce

Make a delicious and quick caramel sauce using our 4-ingredient caramel sauce recipe.

Quick caramel sauce


  • 200g granulated sugar
  • 200ml water
  • 100g butter
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) fresh cream



Place 200g granulated sugar and 200ml water in a saucepan, put on the lid and bring to boil without stirring, 25 minutes.


Remove from heat and stir in 100g butter and 125ml (1/2 cup) fresh cream. Serve immediately.


This will keep for up to 1 week, refrigerated in an airtight container or jar. Makes about 375ml (1 ½ cups) caramel.
